Not at all.
85-95% of women participating come without knowing anyone beforehand. You’ll make new friends quickly! Our basic packages include accommodation in double rooms, and Sandra usually finds great room buddies. If you prefer not to share a room, you can request a single room. Additional fees may apply, and availability is not guaranteed, but we'll do our best to accommodate your needs. Please let us know in the booking form.goes here

Totally get where you’re coming from — but let me say this clearly: no, it’s not other professional athletes signing up for these camps.
Yes, our camps are designed for sporty women — so do read the participation requirements carefully. But that’s really just to make sure the experience is enjoyable and safe for everyone.
Sandra might be a pro, but what really defines her is her energy and passion to encourage other women to grow. To help them discover what they’re capable of — in the mountains, on the water, and beyond.
And she’s not doing this alone: her team of coaches and guides are here to support you. And just as importantly, the other women who sign up are incredibly supportive, too. They come to challenge themselves, not to compete — and the group energy is truly empowering.
So if you love being active, enjoy shared challenges, and feel your body and mind are ready to grow — then yes, this is for you.

The #shadesofwinter camps bring together women of all ages — and that’s exactly what makes them so special. Here are a few insights to help you feel confident about your choice:
The Lyngen Skitouring Experience is about shared adventure in stunning landscapes. In 2024, women from their early 20s to mid-60s joined — and it was the perfect mix.
The Signature Freeride Camp tends to attract a younger crowd, but we’ve had many amazing women in their 50s join — and totally rip.
The Freeride Touring Camp brings together women in their 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s — sharing mountain days across generations.
The Wingfoiling Camp spans more than 30 years in age — from women starting with this sport in their 60s to younger ones who absolutely love it.
and the Hiking & Yoga Camps? Honestly, we’ve never even had the age question come up — they simply attract women who feel like moving, breathing, and recharging in the outdoors!
So no matter your age — if the camp speaks to you, you're in the right place.

Experience in off-piste skiing and freeriding is required, as this camp is not intended for first-time freeriders.
BUT, if you're an advanced skier on black slopes with high fitness but limited backcountry experience due to a lack of opportunities, you might still be a good fit. In this case, please contact Sandra in advance, share some videos of your skiing (taken with your mobile phone), and she will provide an honest assessment of whether the camp is appropriate for you.

Visualize standing on your office desk in ski boots and skis. Now, imagine it's a perfect powder day with great snow, and your landing is in soft powder with good angulation. With #shadesofwinter coaches beside you to explain and show you what to do, we believe you'll make the jump and maybe even go higher than your office desk.

You should be in good physical condition, as the camp includes daily hikes of 400-800 meters, sometimes in a single push or split into two hikes, depending on the location and conditions. Fitness is essential to fully enjoy all three days of skiing, especially the third day. For skiing, you need solid off-piste skills and experience in various snow conditions and terrains. Prior off-piste and freeride experience is expected to ensure you can handle the adventurous lines we aim to explore. We believe this camp is a great fit for many women.

Participating women should be ready for daily ski tours of 1000-1500 vertical meters over 5 out of 6 days. Prior experience with off-piste skiing and ski touring is essential. You should be comfortable navigating varied snow conditions on skis, from perfect powder and beautiful corn snow to potentially more challenging snow.

On a great powder day with good weather, we might not stop for lunch at a hut but snack on lunch bites from breakfast (included). We might stop for coffee or grab a soup (not included) at a mountain hut if we get cold. After skiing, you could spend money on more coffee or an Apres' ski drink. Three courses-dinner, breakfast and take-away-lunch from the breakfast buffet is included, but you might want a good glass of wine. We believe there won't be much time or opportunity to spend money beyond this.
