Caja Schöpf (GER), former Freestyle Skier and Katia Griffiths (GB, ESP) former Olympian Halfpipe Athlete know each other since several year from the competition site. They never really met a lot after they ended up their career but kept contact.

So once again, Caja had the idea to explore a more exotic destination for skiing we don’t think about skiing from the first sight – Spain. And since she knew, that Katia is born in Spain, she thought to contact her right away to join her on this journey.

Obviously Spain is a country we all know and most of us has been to, but more for Surfing, Tapas, Beaches, Cerveza and beautiful cities such as Barcelona and Madrid. So, since Caja was in Northern Spain last year for surfing and explored the Spanish mountains all around the Picos del Europa, for trailrunning, she could not forget about the idea to come back and explore the Spanish mountains with skis. In beginning of April, she came back to check out if Spain also fulfills the dream of powder … But it also showed her, that like a lot in life not everything will go as planned. That’s ok, if just always you „Keep Going“.

Caja is a young women from a very small town in the middle of Bavarian’s mountains. Besides mountains, skiing and everything else she can do in her hometown, she loves to explore the world and lives meanwhile in Munich, working as a sport psychologist and is enjoying the pulsating vibes of her city life. But one day she promises, she’ll move back home into her beloved mountains.
